Sanderstead URC is located in an urban residential
environment, it occupies an extensive site encompassing also two tennis courts.
The church was founded in 1931 and the original building dedicated in 1934. In 1939 the
main hall was built and, since then, a new transept and small
hall have been
added.

In recent years we have carried out major repairs to our very fine pipe organ,
the refurbishment of the vestibule, modernisation of the church office, the
installation of a new audio system in the sanctuary and the replacement of the
pews with chairs
.

Location
The Church is situated, on the B269, at the foot
of Sanderstead Hill, and is about 12 minutes walking distance
from Purley Oaks and Sanderstead rail stations. The No 403 bus from
Croydon to Warlingham (via Sanderstead station) stops outside the
church.
By car
We are about 15 to 20 minutes drive from Junction 6,
M25.
Follow A22 signed LONDON & CROYDON.
Straight on. at first (large) roundabout.
At second roundabout turn right. B270 signed WARLINGHAM.
Go under railway and take first left (Tithe Pit Shaw Lane).
At T junction (ph "Good "Companions"
on corner) turn left onto B269
(towards CROYDON).
Straight on at mini roundabout.

next roundabout.
The Church is about half a mile down the hill on right hand side.
