Sanderstead URC  is a welcoming and happy fellowship, with a regular congregation across a wide but ageing age range. We enjoy worship in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and we look forward to welcoming visiting and regular worshippers alike. However, like other denominations and many churches, we have seen our congregations and membership numbers fall dramatically in the past 20 years or so. Despite this, and although we may be fewer in numbers, we remain strong in the spirit and in our resolve to fulfil our Mission purposes.

Sunday morning worship is the centre of the fellowship of the church. For the most part it follows a usual pattern with hymns (both old & new), readings, prayers, ‘Time with the church family’ and  sermon.  An activity area is available at the back of the sanctuary for children and their parents, or carers, to use. On the third Sunday of the month the children and young people will go out to their own activities in Junior Church.. A crèche will though be available for infants each Sunday.

Holy Communion forms part of the service on the first Sunday of the month.

Certain special services may focus on a theme, such as Remembrance, One World Week and Christian Aid Week

Sunday evening services will be held on occasion to mark special calendar or other events

Bible Study Group. This meets by Zoom each Wednesday evening.
